“ I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts.”

Citizens for A Responsible Democracy

Citizens for a Responsible Democracy is a grass roots, web and news based, citizen to citizen, educational movement to giveYOU  information you can use to reshape the American election landscape.

Our message is simple.  Our nation's finances are at a Moment of Truth.  We need to Get Our Financial House in Order immediately by Making Entitlement Promises Realistic, Achieving Fiscal Responsibility Through Spending Cuts and by Restarting America's Economic Engine.  We can only trust our nation to Citizen Leaders, not career politicians.

Americans will make decisions during the next electoral cycle which will determine the future of our country both now and in the long-term.  Citizenship requires that responsible Americans educate themselves and others about the extent of our nation’s problems.  Working person to person, we can reshape the political dialog to ensure that our leaders and those seeking office will take the critical action needed to save our country.  Our job is to equip you with, as Abraham Lincoln put it, the "...real facts."

What Would America's Finances Look Like if We Were a Family

In this article from Sunshine State News, Nancy Smith looks at the federal government as though it were an American family.  To put our national finances in perspective, if we were a family we would be earning $21,700 per year, spending $38,200 per year and drowning in $142,710 in credit card debt.  More importantly, Congress is doing little to solve the problem.
